The Publicity Manager

The Publicity Manager is also CHP's Community Relations Chair, and his/her job is to advertise the show. This is a process that begins
long before opening night. The Publicity Manager must obtain all relevant information from the Producer and Directors and find a
graphic designer for posters and flyers, as well as handle public announcements and mailings. Publicity avenues include, but are not
limited to: Newspaper announcements, radio announcements, and e-mail announcements.
The Program Editor
The Program Editor is in charge of the task of producing a program for the audience that is informative and pleasing to the eye.
He/she answers to the Producer but communicates with the directors and Publicity Manager on the content and look of the program.
Basic elements of a program:
- Argument (plot synopsis), often written by the stage Director
- Dramatis Personae
- List of orchestra players
- List of production staff, technical crew, and rehearsal pianists
- List of cast and their biographies
- Past productions
- ADVERTISEMENTS (Incl. Daily Press ad)
- List of CHP officers (Executive Board)

- Donations
- Season Ticket holders
- Season for cooperative theatre groups (Williamsburg Players, Poquoson Island Players, & Peninsula Community Theater)
