The Light Board Operator

The Light Board Operator runs the lights during dress rehearsals and for performances. Little or no theatrical experience is acceptable but it's preferred that a new volunteer who is interested in this position work alongside a light board operator for an entire production before being assigned the position on their own. A Board Operator must not have major conflicts during runs of the show and must be attentive at all times while the performance is going on.
The Spotlight Operator(s)
Spotlight Operators run the spotlights during dress rehearsals and performances. While new volunteers are always welcome, there is an art to running a spotlight smoothly. Therefore, anyone who runs the spotlight must attend rehearsals for run-throughs of the entire show to become familiar with the actors movements, songs and musical cues. A Spotlight Operator must not have major conflicts during runs of the show and must be attentive at all times while the performance is going on.
The Sound Operator
The Sound Operator is responsible for finding proper sound effects, creating a sound cue list, and monitoring microphone levels. Attending rehearsals to gauge proper timing is essential. The Sound Operator runs the sound during dress rehearsals and for performances.
