Children's theater

Registration is now open for Missoula Children's Theatre 2019 camps. Please note that:

Our Mathews and Middlesex camps are both FULL for ages 8-18, and we are currently running a waitlist. There are three assistant director positions available and limited openings for K-7-year-olds in the Middlesex camp only.

We're excited about bringing the Missoula Children's Theatre camps back to our area this coming summer!

Missoula Children’s Theatre camps are a week-long summer day camp experience run by professional actors for up to 60 children.  Children audition on Monday morning, are assigned parts before lunch, and begin rehearsals by that same afternoon.  After a week of rehearsals, they present a full children’s theater performance (usually a fairy tale with a twist!) complete with costumes, props, and sets by Saturday.

Our two camps this year are: July 8-13, Snow White at Mathews High School and July 15-20, The Emperor’s New Clothes at St. Clare Walker Middle School.

The summer day camps are open to children who have completed grades K-12 and who are committed to attending all week.

The workshop will begin each morning promptly at 9:30 a.m. Please be there between 9:00 and 9:30 for check-in. Children, who are ages 5 to 7, will need to be picked up at 12 noon. In order to participate in the full-day camp, children must be 8 years old by the Monday that camp begins.  All students should bring a packed lunch each day to camp (no nuts please!).

Children who are 8 or older will stay until 2:00 p.m. daily. Additional mini workshops will be available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; they will last until 3:00 p.m.  You can sign up for those extra workshops on Monday morning when you check in for the first day of camp.

Arrival time for performances will be announced later, but will allow time for costumes and makeup.

Snow White will be performed at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 12, and at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, at Mathews High School, 9889 Buckley Hall Road, Mathews,

The Emperor's New Clothes will be performed at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, at St. Clare Walker Middle School, 6814 General Puller Highway, Locust Hill.

Performances are open to the public.

Tickets will be : $5 for children ages 4 to 18 (3 and under free) and $7 for adults.  Tickets will be sold at the door for cash or check only.
